Reporting to: Marketing and Communications OIC / Marketing and Communications Manager
Duties & Responsibilities
Handle all external and internal communications via the organization's website, social media accounts (Facebook, Linkedin, Instagram, X), and direct emailers.
Serve as the main point of contact for any internal or external communications requests, responds to telephone/email inquiries as appropriate, and drafts and reviews communication materials as needed.
Social Media, Website, and Direct Emailers
Manage day-to-day ECCP’s social media platforms through content calendars and scheduling tools to ensure timely release of announcements, updates, and news related to the Chamber;
Develop, manage, and implement social media strategies and campaigns in alignment with the ECCP’s communications objectives;
Monitor and analyze monthly social media performance;
Coordinate with IT department to publish materials on the company website and ensure that content is up to date;
Coordinate with other departments to develop, schedule, and release the Chamber’s bi-weekly newsletters and other announcements; and
Collaborate with marketing, design, and other departments to deliver clear direction and ensure consistency in messaging and visual identity across all communication channels.
Public Relations
Work closely with the Executive Director and Director for Advocacy & Government Affairs to strategize and implement public relations strategies;
Serve as the liaison between the media and the Chamber for the dissemination of press releases, coordination for press conferences and events, and partnerships;
Write and develop media statements, press releases, speeches, and presentation materials as needed.
Events
Directly involved in the promotion and ensuring the success of the organization's events alongside other departments through pre, during, and post-event support;
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field.
Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in a communications role.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
Good time management and organizational skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, content management systems, and social media platforms.
Working knowledge of platforms such as GlueUp, Mailchimp, and Canva, is a plus.
