Turning Satellite Data into Business Intelligence: Commercial Opportunities in Cebu with EU Copernicus data

05 March 2026 | 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

We are pleased to invite you to an information session organised under the EU-funded National Copernicus Capacity Support Action Programme for the Philippines (CopPhil) showcasing a wide range of Earth Observation (EO) applications relevant to businesses in Cebu. Satellite-based earth observation is a powerful tool for making better-informed decisions. The session will introduce participants to the practical applications of EO data and how it can drive more informed decision-making.

Through the Copernicus programme, the European Union offers free and open access to earth observation satellite data and analytical services. In parallel, Philippine institutions are being strengthened through dedicated capacity-building efforts under the CopPhil. This initiative forms part of the EU's Global Gateway strategy, which seeks to harness Space and Earth Observation technologies in support of a fair, inclusive, gender-responsive, green, and human-centric digital transformation worldwide.

Who Should Attend?

This session is designed for businesses seeking comprehensive data for remote locations, large-scale areas, and temporal developments. While not all of the following topics will be addressed in detail, it will provide a broad introduction to EO applications relevant to sectors such as:
