The Embassy of Romania to the Philippines is coordinated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and it is run by the Ambassador who is appointed by the President of Romania and acts as his representative. Our diplomatic mission in Manila ensures all the representation functions of Romania in the Philippines. It promotes and protects the interests of the Romanian state and its citizens, in accordance with international law as well as Romanian and Philippine law. Also, it facilitates the dialogue between the Romanian and the Philippine institutions in all the fields of cooperation that represent the essence of our bilateral relations. It coordinates the activity of the Honorary Consulates in Angeles City and Cebu. The Embassy is actively involved in fostering the link between the Romanian community in the Philippines and the Romanian state and, together with the Honorary Consulates, it supports the dialogue between the Romanian – Philippine community and the Romanian authorities. The Embassy team is dedicated to promoting the friendly relations between Romania and the Philippines and the image of the Romanian people in the Philippines. Thus, it contributes to the cooperation agenda in the political, economic, social, cultural, academic and scientific areas in a manner consistent with Romania’s contributions to the European and international organizations, its potential for economic development and modernization as well as in keeping with the Romanian cultural heritage and the intellectual resources of Romanian citizens.
